Designed for data-intensive industrial and IoT scenarios, the EIO118 delivers LTE Cat. 4 performance (150 Mbps DL / 50 Mbps UL) and integrates GNSS for real-time, high-accuracy positioning. Its broad network support—including LTE-TDD/FDD, WCDMA, TD-SCDMA, EVDO, CDMA, and GSM—combined with global certifications such as CE-RED, FCC, IC, TELEC, and major carrier approvals, ensures worldwide compatibility, faster time-to-market, and streamlined international deployment.

 
 

Self-Health Monitoring API for Custom Remote Management

Beyond connectivity, the EIO118 includes Axiomtek’s Communication Manager API, enabling customers to develop remote management functions. Using this API, users can implement real-time system health monitoring, anomaly detection, SIM card switching, and remote module rebooting. This flexibility reduces maintenance efforts, minimizes on-site service, and streamlines software development for large-scale OT infrastructure.

SIM Card Switching for Cross-Border Mobility

To ensure uninterrupted connectivity in railway and cross-border logistics applications, the EIO118 allows switching between the SIM card on the module and the SIM card on the host system. Instead of physically replacing the SIM card, customers can switch seamlessly through Axiomtek’s Communication Manager API with just a few clicks.

 

Automatic Recovery

A system reboot can resolve over 80% of connectivity failures. The EIO118 features a built-in watchdog timer and automatic reboot functionality to address connectivity issues, especially in remote or unmanned deployments.

The EIO118 operates in a temperature range of -40°C to +70°C and can tolerate storage temperatures up to +85°C. Its ultra-low power consumption—less than 1 W in standby mode—makes it ideal for energy-efficient systems.
